DSSD vs Millguass GV
take the poll. makes some comments as well.
Which would you get? Mind you in my case i have only a SS Daytona. I will end up with both, but aftyer this next one the third will be quite some time. this leans me more towards the dssd because i feel it a better day to day piece that i can wear everywhere including sports, water and such. those i wont do with my daytona and i dont think i would with Milly. mind you i know its my choice and it looks like i solved my own question, but i just bought the SS and the milly is a little less on the wallet too. I would just like to see what you guys would chose and why. |

It's like comparing apples and pears . As yourself I have a SS Daytona and I bought the SDDS a couple of months ago to have more of a "sporty robust outdoor beach watch" . Than again I have never considered a Milgauss , let alone a LV . But that is my personal taste .

Since you have the elusive daytona already...
if I was in your difficult predicament.. i would probably pick DSSD solely because of the Date function... Don't wanna own 2 watch worth almost 18k without any date.. But just the thought of owning 2 highly sought after watch (daytona & millie Gv) also makes me drool...

I had a DSSD (will own another soon)
I own a GV. Since you have a Daytona I would have to get the DSSD without a doubt as I have to have a watch with a date for wearing with work..... Yes, I know the date yet I still look at it every time I fill out a form or something. Even though I know the date if I look at my watch as Im writing the date I get confused for a minute when there is no date.

Tough call, but I'll go with the DS as well given you have a Daytona. Seems like a better balance to me.

I would go for the DSSD. Sound like you need a watch near the waters!

Get the DSSD You will have a watch with a bigger size, a ceramic rotating bezel with Platinum numbers on the bezel, a 5.5 mm Sapphire crystal, Triple lock system ( A Rolex 1st ) , the Glidelock bracelet ( This is very cool ) Blue Lume , and the worlds best dive watch, it looks great at the beach, ocean, on a boat, Casual and dressy. also it's a hell of a topic piece when people notice you wearing a SUB on Steroids.... I think there are some guys here that own a Daytona and a DSSD, I wish you the best of luck on your choice, go with the DSSD you won't regret it!

I already have them both. But if I had to choose between them it would have to be the Deepsea. I wear it alot more than the GV.

I like both watches but if had to purchase one, it would be the DSSD.

I say GV. I'm afraid that once the watch prices start to creep up again in the coming year, the GV will be harder to find. Plus, I just love the green glass.

GV is an excellent watch, and by far the best investment in the long run and by far my current fav rolex. However it is similar to the Daytona so id go for the Deep See.
Good problems to have tho mate |
