Rose and a Road

A rose from a relative's garden, still hanging on this time of year

The road leading into their 17th century National Trust house

Cheers,
Bruce

you beat me to it Thanks guys! The road pic looks a bit lighter on my pc than it did on the mac where I converted it. That always baffles me

LOL - great minds think alike, Bruce.

As for the difference in contrast and brightness between the PC and the Mac, I have also noticed that. It is a fundamental difference in the video color space that the two platforms use. Always somewhat of a problem. Another issue is the sizing of fonts. 12-point text looks a LOT BIGGER on a PC than it does on a Mac.

The rose is nice, but I love the B&W, Bruce.

I'm with you on that, Ed. I have visited MANY Trust homes in the UK (I belong to the Royal Oak Society - the arm of the National Trust in the US), and this view brings back a lot of wonderful memories.

Thanks so much guys! There are so many great scenes like that around here. I've just been looking at some Ilford b&w film that I'm gonna order to use with my FILs EOS 3 film camera. It'll be fun to shoot some real b&w again, especially with winter coming.

Cheers,
Bruce
