History of Fake Rolex Submariner and Parts.

History of Fake Rolex Submariner and Parts.

Experts, can you provide a timeline of fake Rolex Submariners and Parts?

The first I recall was in the mid 80’s when a friend of mine returned from NY City and was laughing about his fake Rolex Submariner.. He said this “dude” walked up them on the street and opened his trench coat and said you want to buy a watch? 20 bucks and it was his.. It was such a POS and he bought it as a souvenir because he thought it was so funny that this “dude” walked up them.. Laughing hard he said he thought he was going to flash them.. The watch warn might last 6 months to year tops.

When did higher quality fake parts and such hit the market that actually was designed to scam people? Any time line of 60’s, 70’s, 90’s?

Thanks
