It's here, it's here!!!!!!!!! WOOO HOOO

OK
So it has been a couple weeks since I talked about it here but with me going on a cruise
and the way the deal was set up I just got my hands on her today but SHES HERE!!!!

Pretty darn close to a grail for me but my true Rolex divers grail would be a DRSD

Just some quick crappy pics with my camera phone.
Even has service papers from NY RSC from 07 (previous owner has had it since the early 80's
and must have known someone at Rolex to get them to service it.)

Its clearly been polished on the lugs but not horrid, it is missing the bezel pearl so I need to source
a period correct pearl and get it put in. At service it got a full service & polish, new bracelet, winding crown and case tube.

So enough said for now... Here is my 1968 (I think thats what I found the serial # dating to) Rolex Red Sub!!!

Anyone with suggestions on the pearl or ANY other advice please PM me.

PS it has the steel date wheel, sorry my pics are so horrid but I am bad enough with a real camera let alone my Blackberry

red sub has always been on my mind... droolszz...
sidetrack abit... is it advisable for me to get a red sub with a poor case condition internally- o ring damaged, pitting, certified no-waterproof... but excellent dial, hands, movt, all cleaned up.. only case back no good.. is it acceptable for most of u?

Sized and on the wrist....

Gonna have to keep this one on a winder WOW does it take
time when you are three days ahead on the watch to set the date
on a non quick set!!!

So now for vintage I have a 67 or 68 (cant recall) 1675 GMT Master small 24 hr hand, a 78 Matte 5513 and now my Red M first open 6's 1680 :) Someday they will all be on the block for a DRSD!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!
