Don't say it too loudly Kyle, I'm hoping the prices of these are going to come down for some ripe pickings

We don't have raffles here Kyle . I don't really think a 36mm would be really popular as a giveaway but that doesn't mean those with the finer tastes in quality can't enjoy a 36mm
But lets see. I'm talking on a 1016 for me though first of all

Thank you guys, I will pick up 36mm today, I think it's more classic with it's original size of exI. Thks to Kyle for bringing ExI to my collection.

36MM!!! The shorter hands and no white lume outline on the new one? Ugh, that's definitely a dealbreaker.

Will definitely get the new one as well as I think 39mm would like bigger than the existing one. I consider that 36mm is a little bit too small compared with other sport models.

The new Explorer. I think it will look way better with 39mm.

I think the 39mm is just keeping up with the times...
Back when the Explorer I was released it was a big watch. Dress watches were 32-34mm in size. Today Patek's dress watches are 36-38mm in size. I would have been happier with the old Explorer I being upsized with no changes. But the changes are not a deal breaker for me. 3-6-9 markers are supposed to be different from the 1-2-4-5-7-8-10-11 markers. The 12 o'clock marker should be different from the rest. This makes it easier to read the dial in the dark so you get a sense of what is "up". The new Explorer I still provides this. Absence of a date. A like a date display in a daily-beater... but for dress watches and rugged watches, I prefer no-date versions. If I will only use the watch for special occasions or weekends not having to set the date is a plus. |

I'm good without a date, I'm good with the brushed links, but no lug holes, that's a downer for sure.

I like my 36mm, since I have a small wrist, but would like to see the 39mm version.

I'll have to reserve judgement of the 39mm until I see it. However, nothing can entice me to buy one. I'm perfectly happy with the 36mm version and the fact that it is now likely to increase in value as time goes by.
Thank you, Rolex. |

I can't wait to see the new Exp 39 in person. That would make it the same size as the Daytona - a very nice size on the wrist...
I might get one because it represents the very first issue of the next generation...........
