I've seen some odd photos there on Wingates :-) but I also know people who have purchased from them, all good and nice service too

It could be a couple of things; aftermarket black hands, Rolex supposedly offered black hands as they are easier to see and most probably they are not black but just look black in the photo.
This is an eBay picture of a watch I bought; it has original Rolex gold hands. |

Rolex Black hands
I just joined so I hope I'm in the right place. I want to change the hands in my Day Date to BLACK. Rolex dealer will do it but not unless he can service the watch at 600 bucks plus 150 for the hands. The watch was serviced last year. Does anyone know where I can buy them and have another watch tech do the job? Thanks for your time.
