Do I miss the 14060?
Well after a week of receiving the Sea-Dweller and sacrificed my No date sub, do I feel regret... remorse?
Oddly enough I don't. I totally love the Sea-Dweller for the date function, cleanliness of the dial, the thicker bezel ring for ease of use. I don't have the same regret that I had when I sold my Omega SMP chrono divers - but this was cured by the Omega SMP (bond style). The SEL also feels great... in addition to this, the diver extension suit is also a marvel of engineering. Without the help of forum members here, I think I'll still be trying to get it out I wore it for an entire week, and finally took it off to wear my Avenger. Time to give it some love this week.

Thanks Mike. As I cruise along the world of watches, I learn more on what I really want in a watch. For sure, I need a watch with a date function!
Charles, yes gotta love the SD!

When I traded my DJ for a Panerai for a weekend, I realized that I really need a date function otherwise I forgot when my favorite tv show was coming on

As you get older you need a watch with a Date Function, as harder to remember what day it is!

You know it's funny you should post this... but the LV Sub had gotten me wanting a black bezel and I was kinda browsing around for a 14060 or 14060m.
This afternoon I get a phone call from my watch guy and my SD is ready for me to pick up (was having a major overhaul and has been gone over 3 weeks now). All thoughts of another Rolex diver went right out of my mind... I can't wait to pick up the SD tomorrow... I'm going to wear it and see if I still look at the 14060s the same way...

My Dad is retired and I got him a clock with one hand on it. The movement makes one rotation in 168 hours. You guessed it. It has the days of the week, not the hours of the day. "Half past Wednesday" is all he needs or wants!

The SD is a fabulous watch. It took abit of getting use to "no cyclopes" but now I look at my GMT and YIKES that date is huge
I know what you mean about the extension and pushing on the O on the bracelet. Took a while and then finally read the instruction |

I was even at the point of removing the link to see if I can pry it out, and I couldn't!
That's when I started to google, and ask TRF dudes to help Gotta love SD!

The Panerai Luminor Marina I think. The dial was all black with the seconds at the 9 position. It was crisp bold clean and heavy. No Date. I missed seeing the Large Date of my DJ.
