Power Balance Wrsitband
Just wondering if any uses a Power balance wristband? I had a demo yesterday and was amazed. I had checked there website that explains how it works. Sounds amazing that a little plastic hologram can have such an affect on our bodies.
Anyone on TRF have any long term experience wearing one ? blackblack_small.jpg http://www.powerbalance.com/powerbalance |

I have seen someone at work with the wristband..I asked about it but he doesn't want to talk about it.
What is supposed to do? |

I have one Peter. Had it for a week now....I haven't seen any pronounced benefit but no-one has tried to knock me over yet. I'll wear it playing football tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
I think it is mental more than anything, like a placebo effect. Good money spinner for the inventor though. |

Nothing wrong with a placebo effect if the results sought are attained though IMO....

How were you allowed to wear a wrist band playing rugby? Or did you strap over it?

I can remember, a few years ago now, a team mate used to suffer from a dislocating shoulder, so he started to wear a neoprene shoulder brace. Some ref's would not allow him to play in it. Shortly afterwards RFU released details saying anything like that had to be fully taped to the skin!
A few years later they were wearing shoulder protection resembling American football players and even gloves!

Maybe that's why I don't play Rugby, and why you don't see every pro Rugby player wearing one of these 'Prince Planet' bracelets.

What was the demo? Was it the one where they ask you to lift a 2 litre bottle of Coke with one arm, and then they place the "magic" material cloak over your forearm and ask you to do it again? I once went to a shop demo where they did this. And yes, the same bottle of Coke feels much lighter on the second attempt. I'm almost certain its the eyes/mind playing funny buggers...but I still bought one in the end.

Even if you believe that the body has energy flows, channels, auras, etc outside of the nervous system and at more than a cellular level, how would a plastic bracelet with a "hologram" affect it? It would not. Rubbish, and a bad premise as well. At least magnets, etc could potentially "do" something to an energy field/channel.

I can't believe they are trying to flip those bracelets for that much.
It looks like a product found in a cereal box...especially with this super power holgram. |
