New Submariner 16610 - Rolex crown lines up!
Hi just received my new 16610 and the old 14060 is on it's way out. I have notice that the rolex logo on the crown lines up exactly straight, or is this something that rolex do now? I'll post some pics in the next couple of days.
I wanted the last of the 16610's as as much as the new ones look great i wanted the grail watch i had wanted for awhile. I also think that when the sub c comes out and after the price rise you are talking £5k i think that the sub 16610 price may go up as a result as otherwise there will be a large price gap between the two. Anyway a great day! |

the fact that the rolex logo lines up on the crown is not something that will hold more value over another rolex.. it is cool when the crown lines up, but not collectable in any way shape or form.. if anyone really wanted, they could have their watchmaker remove the crown and stem, take the case tube out and re screw the case tube in a different direction, re screw them back on so the crown lines up correctly. the way the crown lines up all lays within the placment of the tube.

It's really a random thing, but the watches I have had serviced by RSC NY came back with the crown locking in a perfect position.

I've never had one line up. You got lucky! If your 14060 lines up, you need to buy a lottery ticket!

Mine's upside down. But to be honest, I had forgotten about it until now. Thanks a lot!

Its a non issue! The only thing i want of the crown is to ensure water resistance.
Iam not concerned one iota that on the majority of my Rolexes the crown is upside down. |
