Got my first compliment on my 111 today...

I was having brunch with a former co-worker. Not a WIS at all...

He says, "Nice watch"...after noticing my PAM. Then, he proceeds to tell me he just replaced the strap on his Tag with a new Gator. He complained that it cost $200! He had been wearing the prior strap every day for seven years.

At this point, I was still grateful for the compliment...but smiling to myself that if the guy only knew PAM charges $400 for a deployant buckle and $320 for a Gator strap!

At least he didn't ask 'how much?'

Cheers

In the two months I have had my 111 I have received literally 5 times more compliments on it than my sub date that I have had for two years, and I only wear the 111 on weekends.

Thanks guys.

Yes Phil...if this particular friend had heard the retail price, he would have fell over - dead.

If had told him the much lower pre-owned price I paid, he may have only had an aneurysm.

To be honest I felt that way recently when I heard about the price of the buckle.....could not get my head around it!

HAHA I hear you niels74... The only other compliments I have EVER received on watches were on my Speedy Pro (by a WIS) and on my Fossil. Not a problem though. The watches give me the most pleasure

Bill, how are you feeling about your PAM compared to your Rolex(s) now? Just curious...

Bryan...

I LOVE the PAM. More of a weekend watch as it only fits under the cuff of three dress shirts I currently own!!But I do wear it a fair bit on "casual" Fridays.

I do think the Rolexes are more versatile...and I love the bracelets / smaller sized watches (if you consider 40mm small!)

I think the decision to have a PAM added to the collection was one of the best I have made. There is a time, place and desire to wear the PAM.

Well said, Bill! I feel the same way about my PAM and it fits into the collection in the same way...
