The Mark XVI has landed!
I must admit that it was quite a hard decision, I've been choosing between an Explorer or an IWC Mark XVI for quite a while now, and I finally came to a decision and pulled the trigger on an IWC Mark XVI. All I have to say, is that this is possibly the highest quality watch I've ever owned, it's been about two days now and I LOVE it! Pictures to come as soon as I finish this photoshoot, and I may post a review of it a little later.
I REALLY love this watch! |

Hi Charlie, congrats.... just wondering how you can determine this is your highest quality watch? I see that you have list of watches in your collection and those are awesome !!!

Well when I'm doing the comparison here, I only compared it to watches in it's direct price range. That's most of my collection. To determine the quality, I basically went over the entire thing with a loupe looking for any imperfections, be it in the case or with the lume or markers. My Jaeger has a slight imperfection with the lume, that I never really got around to getting fixed, and it's quite the fragile watch. Little things like that determine the quality. My sub, which I really love, has always performed quite mediocrely when it comes to accuracy tests (about +5 seconds a day). It's things like that that give the image of quality. I've owned the watch for a bit now, and I can't say I've found a single imperfection in it yet!
