It will be a great game. I would say England but it would be no surprise if Germany was stronger on this occasion.

Shocking refereeing decision, I have no idea why FIFA continue to stop changes that could have prevented blunders like that At least England seem to actually be playing some football now, the start of the half was shocking.

Hold on to your hats, this is going to be a corker of a second half

I fully agree! Great football by England. We were witnessing a referee scandal! Feel sorry for "The Football Island". Gonna be a great second half

GO ENGLAND!

Cant argue with that score, the Germans were by far the better team, thoroughly deserving their victory, truth be known, they should have had more.

Too many of Englands "big" players failed to deliver.
Lampard goal not given? Time for football to use technology.
Scoreline could have been a lot worse though.

I predict Germany wins 4-1 with England having a goal not awarded due to referee being out of position in the first half.

On a serious note, why does FIFA keep stonewalling the use of instant replay? What about adding an addition referee? One for each side and keep the line judges as assistants.

Give each coach 2 chances to review a call per game regardless if it goes into extra time. Put the decision on the coach.

If they want football (soccer) to ever be popular in the US, they will have to do something. I am a huge football fan. But, I have been at a few bars watching the games and the general opinion from the people viewing is summarized in this statement: "This game sucks. If the referee doesn't like a team for what ever reason, he is the only one in charge. In all American sports, there is no ONE referee. ANd with no instant replay???? Give me a break!!!!"

I had a hard time arguing that. This was the comments at the US-Slovania game. No instant replay or second referee is really turning off the US fans from what I can see.

At least now they're out of their misery we can enjoy the tournament properly.

Usual old clueless performance by England.

Fabio and the players will be ok, after all they are all on £5,000,000.00+ a year.

Just think, Paul. If England shut down the team, that would just about solve the deficit.

Alas the Football Association are such a bunch of old fart muppets they'd end up spending £100m trying to save £5m.
