I had a friend stop by today and offer me this 1.59 million serial 5513. Unfortunately I did not have all my gear with me, most importantly my good camera and my loupe. So my question is, does this dial look touched up, or is the black around the indices a result of moisture in the case? The watch came to him w/o a crown.

The first two pictures are the best we could do....Sorry for the poor pics.

Hard to tell in those blurry photos but the lume looks very uneven and off centered.

Also appears that there are several knicks or parts of edges crumbling off?

The lume has certainly shrunken back from the plots, which I have seen before. I just have not seen the black, which almost looks to be absorbed in to portions of the lume. Thanks for the feedback.

It looks like a relume to me. I had one very much like that one time. It turned out to be a redial.

The puffy markers are correct for a watch of this era, I am not as concerned about that. Look at the 6 o'clock marker in the third picture. It looks as thought the black is bleeding into the marker. I just wish I had a good camera with me!
