Incoming by noon today! The suspense is killing me.
I have this older 16700 GMT Master that I picked up several months ago for a good deal, knowing that the movement was in need of a full overhaul, bent rotor, stuff like that. The price was very good and I promptly sent it off to my watchmaker (not RSC, but a certified Rolex tech for whatever that is worth LOL). This watchmaker has been doing jobs for me a long time and I trust him, plus he is reasonably priced.
Anyways, it took awhile to get the work finished, but it was shipped express yesterday and I'm watching for the postman to arrive within the hour! I cannot wait! In addition to full overhaul/service/some new parts/regulation etc. it was also polished and refinished to look as new. I'm looking forward to seeing it running in great shape on my wrist today! It has the Pepsi bezel and I also found a black insert within the past few weeks. I'll post photos once it gets here. |

Do postmen work on Saturdays? They don't here.
I missed a parcel held up on Friday.....so now I have to wait until Monday

Now those are days I miss, having post on Saturdays. Best we have now where I am is independent post offices being open so you MIGHT be able to pick packages up.
Hope the watch arrives soon for you! |

I was staring at the door yesterday myself waiting for delivery of my 16710 Pepsi. I understand your anticipation. I hope it arrives sooner rather than later. I'm sure it's going to look spectacular. Besides this thread you can alsopost a pic on the thread Show me your Pepsi

Starting to get a little more antsy at 12:45 and no mailman (he is usually early). Checked the USPS routing and it says the package was misrouted. I'm doubting it will show up today. :(

I think this thread jinxed me, as the watch never arrived on Saturday.
USPS tracking still indicates that it was mis-routed and they are getting it to me as soon as possible. Bummer! I was really looking forward to having it for weekend enjoyment and hope it arrives on Monday. Not seeing any update to tracking makes me mildly nervous that it could be lost in the mail. To drown my sorrow , I drank a few Guinness , found and ordered a GMT coke bezel insert. |

Look on the bright side, Eric. At least this is one Monday you'll be excited to see.
Good luck, USPS never loses a package!

I'll go to the Post Office to pick it up.
Go by 9.00 am and it may just be sitting there waiting for delivery. Or call them at 8.30 with the tracking number and tell them to hold for pick up. This way you won't waste half a day looking through the window... Just make sure you know which Post Office to call. |

My Sunday just got a whole lot better
Here's an update and I'm still catching my breath!
The doorbell rang 30 minutes ago as my wife and I were doing some cooking and cleaning. No one ever uses our front door, so we figured it was Jehovah's Witnesses or a someone selling something. I snuck around to look out the door and guess who is standing there...the nice postal lady with my package!!! On a Sunday!!!!!! I've never had mail delivered to me on a Sunday. I cheerfully signed for it and asked her what in the heck she was doing at work on a Sunday? She told me, "This is a special delivery, sir." I responded, "Indeed, it is." The 16700 is here!!!! The pictures are not great, but here is a quick unwrapping. |

Some better wrist shots now that the initial shock and awe have subsided.
