AD told me I Rolex will only let me trade up for new dial
Was at the mall and stopped at AD. I have a TT Daytona w/champagne dial. I asked if I could buy a panda dial. She checked with Rolex and called me the next day. Told me Rolex would only let me trade up to a diamond dial and Rolex would keep my current dial. Said Rolex won't let me trade for a different dial that does come on my watch. Is that true? Thanks.

Yeah supposedly that's what I'm told. Rolex won't give you a dial that doesn't come as an option for the type of watch you have. There is the option the buy the dial in the grey market and have someone change the dial out for you. However I dont know how reliable the dial market is and you will definitely need someone who knows what they're doing when swapping dials.
