My 1680 is now RED!!!

I very excited!

My watch maker called and I can pick up my 1680 tomorrow. He installed the red dial and hand set I recently picked up. I will post pictures once I have the 1680 back. I was very luck you stumble onto the dial and hands before I left Hong Kong. They are from a good dealer and were a fair price. Most importantly the dial is correct for the serial number of my 1680.

Now with red!

Here it is...

I need to get use to the patina. This red dial has a slight marbling on the markers. The hands have oxidation and dark spots.

My old dial and hands were clean and white.

It looks like Tristan's original dial.

Congrats, it looks awesome.

That is what you believe.

I guess your original dial was bright white because you have made a failure when you check out the serial number at your watch.

Thanks. I will live with the patina as the price was very good. I could not pass it up.

Go right to Steve Mullholland for the pearl and insert...he's got lots of great stuff.

I was thinking of putting this faded bezel inset on the watch. But I decided it was too faded and not of my liking. I will try to find one that is darker.
