What is the smallest wrist size a Sub No Date can fit?

I am seriously considering a Sub No Date for my wife and she has a 5.75" wrist or thereabouts. Not too much smaller than my ~6.5" wrist

Anyways, my Sub and GMT are sized about as small as they can go and I'm not sure if these will really fit such a small wrist without nuking a permanent link. Removing a permanent link worries me a bit and wondered if others had a solution other than buying a smaller watch?

You could buy an extra bracelet and remove a permanent link from that one. If cost is an issue you could put a NATO on it instead, which are available in many different colors. Or perhaps some custom leather strap.

Eric, has your wife tried the Sub on to see if it fits? or are you buying the Sub ND as a surprise?

She has worn my GMT Master a little bit and likes it. After seeing those "Rolex Hotness" photos on Jake's blog, I thought it might be cool to try it on the wife. I do currently have an extra 93150 bracelet, but would be a little hesitant to hack it up...perhaps one of those QualityTime replicas would be the way to go.

how about a Jubilee bracelet? would that give you a better chance? even the folding clasp version..

a Jubilee on Sub ND would look rather nice on ladies wrist imo

You don't have to "hack it up". You can have it pulled apart by a good watchmaker pretty easily without damaging the link. Just takes the right tools. If you ever really need to, you can put it back on. Rolex will do this if you send it to them, but not sure if you'll get the link back.

I'd try finding an autorized Rolex watchmaker near you and talk to him/her.

If she likes wearing her watches looser, then you will probably be fine without removing any permanent links.

If she wants it to be nice and snug, you probably will want to remove a permanent link, or buy a different bracelet, or use a strap.

yeah...agreed with the above...I have 6.5" wrist with the 14060M and with all the links out..I found that the clasp was off center..so I took a permanent out on the 6 o'clock and added a link on the 12.
for the wife..I took out the extra 12 o'clock link and she is on the last hole in the micro-adjustment on the clasp and fits perfect...

I'm actually thinking maybe I should look for a mid-size Tudor Sub for the wife. That would be a decent compromise and pretty much ensures the fact that I would not try to wear it!

I had a gf that wore one of those... A fine choice indeed!

'men's' watches, (large), is to wear them loose on the wrist. My gf has a wrist under 6", but she has the bracelet on her Explorer set to the same size as I wear on my own 7.75" wrist. Your wife will easily be able to wear any men's Rolex, and the bracelet will be at least as large as your own, if not larger. Trust me on this.

My wrist is 5.75, the old 1675 GMT fits fine. I think it should fit.

With 5.75", I think you need to remove a permanent link at 6 o'clock size.

Sub No Date has only TWO removable links.
