Macro Practice of 1947 Lord Elgin Watch
These were taken in 640X480. Look at the patina on the dial! How do these look? The 3rd and 4th are okay! But the rest were a little to close for the camera's capability.

Some of your pix are really good. They show the patina on the dial beautifully.
I love the inscription on the back, too. It makes it much more than a watch, it was an event in someone's life.

I love inscriptions also, that was one of the reasons why I bought this one on Ebay about 6 years ago. But, alot of people would say that inscriptions lower the value of an old watch. The engraving on this one was somewhat touching to me, so I bought it.
