tough GMT choice...need advice!
Looking at GMT Master 2 16710.
Same dealer has a D series with box but no papers, and a K series with box and papers. I think the K is about 5 years older. The watches are the same price, bezel color, and appear to be in similar condition, with the D perhaps 3 or 4% better. I'm unlikely to sell it in the next 3 to 5 years, if ever (but I always say that). This should be a daily wearer. Which would you pick? Any guidance from the TRF pros would be greatly appreciated! |

No, don't know service history. Both were trade-ins at a brick and mortar watch store.

If you end up servicing either, specially at an RSC, the papers on the "D" will be just as good as the "K"....
Look at the condition, dings, bracelet wear (all links?), holes / no holes... |

Wait. There are plenty more out there. Be more ruthless and wait for what you really want. The papers though are key. Given the choice I would always go for the watch with papers, and would never go for one without. There is no free lunch.

I would definitely get the K with lug holes.

Good for you. I have a D Series with all provenance. That said, a similarly minty K (with the holeys) and provenance would get the not from me!
