Pilot Custom 742 fountain Pen
Thought I'd share my new ebay purchase from Japan:
Pilot Namiki Custom 742 with Broad nib. Very nice build and finish. I got a 14kt broad nib, but it is actually thinner than expected and I wish I had actually got the BB 'Butter' nib. I like a relatively broad stroke. I know that Japanese nibs are usually thinner than comparable western nibs. I'll live with this for awhile - I might grow to like the thickness... or I might look for another BB. Otherwise... it writes very smooth. The pen has the same size and appearance as a MB 146. I like the big ball clip too. |

Nice acquisition. Pilot makes very high quality pens. I love my Custom 823. It holds more ink than any other pen I have and it writes very well.
