Rolex GMT2C clasp bracelet question
Hello everyone, I have a question regarding my gmt2C rolex clasp bracelet (the first clasp that opens the bracelet with the rolex logo).
I bought it in 2009 and last year i accidentally dropped it causing the clasp bracelet won't close but my AD fixed it. The only problem now is that when i close the clasp it is not as smooth as before and I notice a small gap on the right side of the clasp. My question is that I can just replace the clasp from maybe an independent that has an account with Rolex or RSC correct? The AD told me that rolex would require me to replace the whole bracelet and would cost more. What do you guys think? The watch is fine now but I want it the way it use to be. I use the watch everyday and can use it. Below are some picture I hope you guys can see what I am talking about. Thanks in advance! |

Did you call RSC and ask? What the AD told you does not make any sense. Why have to replace the bracelet if you need to replace the clasp only. I would call the RSC and ask.

Yes i agree with you. That is why I think my AD is just slacking off and want to make more $ from me by me buying a new bracelet if I want to resolve this issue.

I'm pretty sure RSC will just fix the clasp. I had a Flip-Lock break off on my 16710 and they just replaced it..for free even.

Yes I sure hope so. Also i might send it in RSC for warranty because my gmt2 losses time since the day I bought it. This is my 3rd Rolex already and my other two is advance in time but in COSC standard.

Hi Guys just an update i send in my GMTC II 2x to RSC in Texas. The first time they did not fix the clasp I guess there was a miscommunication. 2x time I send it in bec my warranty is expiring and wanted to try for a 2nd time and sure enough they fix it =) So I am a happy camper!

It was still under warranty so they fixed it for free. My AD tried to fix it but not as perfect as RSC in Texas =) My AD said no way RSC was gonna fix it bec it was my fault (since i dropped it) but they did =)

It seems to be more and more the case that spokespersons at ADs are full of ka-ka. The information here is more reliable, more informative and more truthful.

AD just want to sell watches and most of the time they just assume alot of things. And yes this forum helped me alot =)
