Strap question

How do people usually take care of their leather or ammo straps? Any oil or conditioners?

Well, I just keep them in a box in a cool dry place. Some people apply special leather conditioners of some sort, or mink oil. But some leathers are not liquid friendly.. So you really have to try on your own straps my friend. My suggestion.. Just leave it.. :)

As Norman said, it depends. Does your leather need conditioning?

neatsfoot oil works well to soften them up and condition them, but....sometimes they darken the strap. Use with caution. I have only used them on some stiff straps made from really old leather.

That's a good question.
For me, I just store them in a box or a bag. I've nerver tried to apply any conditioner on them at all...I don't think that'd be a good idea.
Just be careful when you wear it, that's all. I think that should be good enough of how you take good care of it.

And, 2nd, I just throw them in a box(the box is not even authentic, I guess).
That's how inexpensive(cheap) I am

Look at those straps brutha! You're not cheap there must be $2000 worth of straps there...

Some of those would look very nice on a boutique edition Pam I think?

Uh, Ren, my brutha!...$3000 actually

And, anything would look good on the boutique editions for sure, if we get it at a retail price...

My Ted Su French ammo strap was a little dry, so I used Timberland boot sauce - that's what it's called. Darkens the leather a little but does do a good job of conditioning. It's not suitable for nubuck or suede leather but.
