Just scratched the bezel on my sub c!
;(

Loading luggage yesterday and felt my watch glide across a seam from the luggage. I looked at the sub and noticed a mark. Didn't rub off but didnt feel deep either. Here is the only pic.
Any ideas on what to do? Help!

I would imagine that a AD can buff the scratch out?

Battle Scar .. I guess you can always take it to the AD if it really bothers you

Id think it's more likely residue from whatever hit the bezel. I'd be surprised if it didn't disappear with proper cleaning/buffing. Maybe try flitz or a cape cod cloth, or even rubbing alcohol.

Ceramic is really too hard to be scratched by any type of metal.

I would try hitting it with a little polywatch polish. I bet it's something that scratched OFF on the bezel itself instead of the bezel actually being scratched.

I think that's just a superficial blemish. I seriously don't think a seam from you luggage could scratch the ceramic. Should come off with some soap and watch and a little elbow grease.

Based on the description you are giving in your post and what I am seeing here I would agree. I don't think I would try any of the remedies in regards to cape cod or any other abrasives on the Ceramic Bezel. I would try a bit of water and elbow grease as mentioned here.

Wax on, wax off. Mr. Miagi style. After seeing the Rolex ads touting the ceramic bezels as virtually indestructable I doubt luggage was able to scratch it.

Without seeing it first hand I agree with what has been stated. With the toughness of ceramic it must be a deposit on the ceramic. Elbow grease and soap should remove.

At least, for you, I hope so!

I had a similar mark on my sub c bezel. It was a melted plastic deposit from something I must've banged the watch against. A soft cloth and slot of elbow grease and it came off.

Like most here, I'm thinking it is burnt plastic residue from your luggage and not a scratch. Just use a cloth and some elbow grease. I would be REALLY surprised if it was a scratch on the ceramic bezel.

Considering what I've put my Sub-C through without getting a single mark on the bezel insert, I very much agree with everyone else here, you don't have any damage.

Hi,

A few weeks ago I put a huge scratch on the black ceramic bezel of my PAM292. Scratches happen but this one was really ugly. It turned out not to be scratched at all. I had hit the watch on an aluminum frame and it was just a mark that I was able to clean off with a lot elbow grease. Check your scratch with a loup; perhaps it is not a scratch after all.

Scratch resistant yes but like sapphire crystal hit it hard enough it will scratch and chip.

Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Original, it doesn't scratch anything, is self sacrificing and gets a lot of though stuff off you thought you could never remove.
