18k 42mm EXP II??

Just checking, how many of u trf'ers thinks that Rolex should come out with a TT or a full 18k 42mm exp II? I for one would definitely go for one as it definitely reflects on who I am I.e adventurous and sporty while not particularly biased on diving or aviation. Which also brings one question. Why do Rolex make only SS for explorers??

I believe I can use my explorer for recreational or scuba diving. Other then the absence of a rotating bezel.

Trying to figure out the Rolex way of thinking could be futile......

All good comments however, and something to ponder over with an educated guess!

Horrible thought...anything other than steel for an Explorer would be just dreadful. Hopefully Rolex still has some soul

My thinking was that even the submariners shouldn't be in gold let alone the explorers.

Can't agree more...Gold Subs always appear just odd to me....gold...Sub ?..what, why ?. The EXP is just too primal for anything other than steel

Well if they have the submariners in gold, why woldn't they just sprinkle alittle bitta gold on the Explorer? IMHO the explorer's got more reason to have gold than the Submariner.

+1. Gold Sub is just a cash cow for Rolex. IMHO they should stop it there, and add precious metal variations to other models. A platinum Daytona would make a lot more sense to me than a gold Explorer. If you want to explore the forests and climb mountains, you wouldn't wear an expensive delicate leather shoe. Similarly, you wouldn't wear a gold or platinum watch "in the wild".

Wouldn't like that at all. However the YG GMT is pretty cool if you fly a Concord
