Tapatalk advantages?

Does anyone have thoughts on the advantages of using Tapatalk versus a browser to access TRF? I tried Tapatalk on my iPad and so far prefer browser access so the pages have the look I'm used to. Thoughts?

I use Tapatalk on my phone all the time. It is so much easier to view and type on forums with this app. In my tablet however, I prefer a regular browser.

Incidentally, I have been having problems connecting to TRF using Tapatalk since yesterday. Anyone else have similar issues?

Tapatalk always seems to have problems. I personally never use it, more hassle then its worth in my opinion. I stick with the normal site when on my iPhone.

I'm using my iPhone to type this reply, so no problems here regarding connection.

I prefer Tapatalk on my iPhone because it is faster and it eliminates anything that is not necessary for me to see.

You can also easily moderate from it since it has built in moderation tools.

I've not tried Tapatalk from my iPad but was considering it for the sole purpose of uploading pics to TRF. Do I need Tapatalk to do this or is there another way.

IMO it's better/faster to upload pics directly to TRF than doing it thru Tapatalk. When you upload pics thru Tapatalk the pics are actually stored at Tapatalk IIRC. The best way is thru an external website host and providing a link here. My 2 cents.

I use Tapatalk and I like the tab that says 'Participated' posts. So all the threads I've got involved in are on there. I'm not sure you can do that here on the browser? I may be wrong...

Dear Mods,

Can we have this feature on TRF on the browser? Or is there a way of doing this?

Kris

It's an app in the app store.

I know that I have the app...

What I was saying is, the 'participated threads' tab is really useful and it should be on the TRF set up if possible?

Tapatalk is great on the iPhone. It's not without it's glitches but it is such a user friendly program.

I generally just use the "new posts" button at the top, but I think a participated threads tab (like on tapatalk) would be great..

unless you can already do something similar and im just being daft??

On the bottom go to -more- then -profile- across the top it will say -my posts- and that will show you all of the convos you participated in.
