Old School Day-Date diamond bezel - Thoughts?
I have recently inherited an old school, non-quickset Day-Date President 1803 model with "pie-pan" diamond dial and diamond bezel. I believe the watch dates to the mid 1960's. From comparing with other similar era presidents I have seen, the diamond dial appears to be factory (Let me know if you think otherwise). The bezel I am not certain of. As you can see in the pics below, it is white gold with 46 brilliant diamonds. According to my rolex reference book, Rolex DID offer "trade in" diamond bezels a LONG time ago. The part # for this bezel would have been MBZ-4690. Is there a way to authenticate this? I would appreciate any knowledgable feedback from you experts out there. Thanks!
