Late Bloomer!
10 years ago, at age 46, I decided I wanted to learn to scuba dive.
Now I do. 4 years ago I decided I wanted to learn to fly. Now I do. 1 month ago I decided I wanted to own a Rolex. NOW I DO!! --AS OF YESTERDAY. I went to the Dallas GTG as the only non-watch wearing guy there. The experience was great. I made many new friends and my desire to own a Rolex exploded. Special thanks to Russ and 2th Doctor for making me feel welcome and for answering many questions for me. I went to DeBoulle Jewelry with the group hoping to find a pre-owned GMT Master II two tone. I was not able to find one like I wanted so I returned home and started shopping (mostly on TRF) for the perfect watch. Yesterday I returned to Dallas to look at some Gold and Silver stores. I still could not find what I wanted so I returned to DeBoulle's. Imagine my surprise when I was met at the door by the owner, Dennis, who immediately asked how I enjoyed the trip to his store the previous week. The sales consultant that I had visited with the week before, Devanir Chiamente, remembered exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately they still did not have a pre-owned, so I was FORCED to leave with a BNIB GMT exactly like I wanted! The owner and staff at DeBoulle are great. I could not be more excited. Thanks TRF for unleashing the Rolex monster in me. |

You must have a few hours to be in a Skylane. I'm still in a 172. |

Thanks for all the great comments!
It's enough to make a man's head swell!! Yessir69, my first plane was a Cherokee 140. I am approaching 500 hours. Still learning every time I fly. I bought the 182 about a 16 months ago. Just sold the Cherokee recently. |
