AP Servicing

Is it really 3 G's for a full overhaul?? I'd love to have one some day, but that's some coin every 5 years...

You are thinking of a periodic service. My guess is you won't need an overhaul unless if there are lot parts needs replacing.

So what is the general cost to service vs. full overhaul? I'd be curious to hear some input from long-time AP owners...

It's about 1k for a normal service. Full overhaul would depend on the model and complication.

Have a look at this http://www2.audemarspiguet.com/custo...vices/tableau1

Complete overhaul is $1205. Refinishing is $250. Overhaul does not include any parts so if parts need to be replaced that's extra.
I just sent my watch in and they estimated 11 weeks. :-(
That said the watch is from 1990.

Lucky you! They want six months for my Ref. 5402 RO Jumbo as it is from 1972. They want to do an upgrade to the caliber (which I don't want) and charge me close to $3K for the full service/overhaul. If I refuse the caliber upgrade they won't touch my watch. Don't know what to do.

That was awful incident. How come they would like to upgrade the movement? Is it equipped with the 3120?
