my first panerai

I found TRF while obsessively researching which watch I wanted to get a few weeks ago.

I originally had decided on Omega, either the SMP or the aqua terra, and then I decided to raise the budget to include a few of the rolexes I knew deep down I truly desired.

I had full intentions of getting a Rolex, either a gmt IIc or explorer II, but then I saw a few panerais for sale amongst the rolex watches in the for sale section of TRF, and when finally I came across this:

I knew the game was over and it was the one. I received it yesterday, my first nice watch, and am thrilled with the construction, it's appearance and the way it feels on my wrist. Quite the upgrade from the 38mm titanium swiss army chronograph watch I've had for the past 6 or so years!

Just visited the panerai boutique in NYC and got my first strap!

The radiomor is starting to grow on me as well. They had some beauties there.

here's my first strap from the panerai shop in nyc. I'm already browsing the online dealers for more. Next may be an antiquated black strap, but there are so many to peruse I'll give it some time before I add more to the collection.
