To all 16610LV owners, would you go with a black bezel insert or would you leave the green insert on?

I would like to hear your opinions.

I have never nor will I put in a black bezel. I don't care for frankenwatches.

If I wanted a Black One I would have bought a 16610 or a new C...

I bought an LV for one reason it's bezel is green if I wanted a regular Sub with a black bezel I would have bought one.

i was uncertain about green at first...

now, my feeling is it would be an INSULT to that watch to replace it's perfectly thought out green bezel with black

Nah I don't think so. It would just be an understatement for an LV with a black bezel, but a green bezel on a 16610LN???

That said, the only thing that's holding me back from switching to a black insert is the availability of a 'bezel remover' tool. I haven't done it before I'm being extra careful I just don't feel good using the knife method on the bezel.

So here's one vote from me for the black insert!

I refrained from voting because I am a proponent for both. Just switch it out when you feel like it and put the green back when you feel like it.

Even though you would be using original Rolex parts, since that model only came with a green bezel, putting on a black bezel would in my opinion make it a franken watch.

As stated by me earlier, if I had one I would switch it to black also, but it would still be franken.

It's not like a GMT model that was offered in 3 bezel options where switching still keeps the watch original in a way.

gmt may have 3 options but doesn't the warranty paperwork states which color came stock... so switching is kind of taboo there as well

I don't know what the model info states on the GMT II's but my 16750 certificate (1988) has only the punched serial number with no model information. That model was available with either pepsi or black bezel.
