watch winder frequency
Hi Folks,
So I'm new to the forum, and being the extremely proud owner of a GMT Master II, thanks a trillion to my incredible girlfriend. My question is should I put my watch in my watch winder every day as soon as i take it off my wrist, or should i minimize the hours per day that it auto winds? Can i over wind and damage it? regards, Chris |

Welcome to the forum.
There have been many posting about watch winders and I cannot recall whether or not there was ever a consensus. But, the bottom line seemed to be that a winder will not harm or over wind the watch. You cannot over wind it. Wearing it is all you really need to do. It can sit over night and when you wear it again the next day it will wind itself. However, if you really want a winder, then you might want to do a search on this forum of some of the recommendations as to the kinds available and the kinds recommended. Gongrats and post some pictures of it. |

Why not just wear it and not worry about a winder
