New Mercedes Commercial

Has anyone seen the new Mercedes commercial were the car is drifting toward the camera, the view proceeds thru the front windows, and out the other side as the drifting continues?
Using a DVR to pause frame by frame you can clearly see the driver sporting a coke GMT II.

Yup I saw it a couple weeks ago. You can clearly see the oyster bracelet and bezel.

I've seen that commercial and was amazed by it (the camera work that is).

I'd love to know how they went about filming it.

My favorite is still the one that uses Janis Joplin's song "Mercedes Benz"
......"oh lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz, my friends all drive Porsches I must make amends."

Here it is Dan. I first saw it during the Sunday Night NFL game and immediately looked for the YouTube video. I did the same thing and played it in slowmo. My wife called me a watch nerd.

I was on a cruise last week and didn't see much TV or TRF.

I saw the commercial but (as always) didn't pay any attention to it. I just checked the YouTube video and I thought it was a 16710LN. I didn't see multi-colors on the bezel. But I could be mistaken.

Can't take my word for it Ed, since I'm colorblind. But my wife said the bezel looked black/ red and I could see it was a GMT insert.

I looked at it close on pause and I am pretty sure I see the older non-SEL bracelet and lug holes. So it is a bit older GMT-Master. Not a plexi, but less modern. I wonder if it was a prop or just happened to be the watch the guy was wearing. A subtle product placement for sure.

Funny you mention that; I noticed the bracelet, but, that's about it.

It clearly is a product placement! Mercedes politics are not too far from rolex ones.. Except from the fact that rolex makes the most reliable watches ever made, and that mercedes is behind the japanese brands (at least toyota (lexus), honda, mazda)
