The degraded bezel was one of the reasons I sold my 16628 YACHTMASTER... I wish I knew this first...

I'm going to order a sand blaster! My YM is pristine but that article got my internal Tim Allen roaring.

Surprisingly, a local Authorized Rolex Service Center here in FL quoted me $125 to refinish/re-sand blast A 16622 Yacht bezel... Not bad at all

I was going to have it done to a 16622 that I was considering buying... I ended up not purchasing it. I have no doubt in my mind it would have been done perfectly as this is one of the few authorized Rolex Service Centers left in the states... There's another in San Francisco. They are fully Authorized by Rolex and work on no other brands.

I have a good buddy with a blasting box who lives near me.
I've got everything for polishing including diamond paste. I just bought all the materials from Home depot. I am going to give it a shot later this week. We will see how it works out |

Has anyone recently had his YM bezel refinished / re-sandblasted?
How much did it cost? Is it true that only RSC in Switzerland has the equipment/capability to do so? |
