Daytona in Black ..................

Daytona in Black ..................

"Bamford & Sons has followed-up its PVD-treated Submariners and GMT Masters with an exclusive collection of custom Daytona chronographs – the latest in a line of see-it-and-want-it products from the high-class boys' toys and clothes boutique, which have included sterling-silver iPods and bespoke-colour Powerbooks. Bamford is characteristically, if cheekily, on-trend with this black-on-black ref. 116520 (£9,550), as anyone would know with an eye for the current watchscape."

Wow! As for myself, I actually like it! In fact, I have a Chase Durer Special Forces UDT 1000XL in Black PVD SS, and, I love it! The awesome Black PVD finish on this Chase Durer model is quite stunning, and, has been very durable, despite the punishing daily wear and tear of diving and climbing! A great pic of this particular watch can be found at www.4abnet.com/chaseforces.html Therefore, I would really love to see more detailed pics of a Rolex Daytona in Black PVD upclose.

It's kinda cool-lookin', but if it didn't come directly from Geneva that way, I'm not interested.

The question is whether a RSC would like that altering of the Rolex watch. I just think it might void the guarantee.

I dig it. PVD actually looks really good in person. I'm sure those pictures don't do it justice.
