I have made five days and no drugs!

I feel like Ive been thrown into hell but I fell better today than the past 4 days.
Next week I get a pump installed to inject direct into spinal area.
My advice to anyone is never ever ever take Hydrocodone and its evel twin Oxycodone....I have took the stuff for 6 years.... and was up to 250+ mg a day.
When you up stop taking it ....its the same as 8/10 bag a day Heroin habit.
Its not a pretty sight. What saved me was i cut back to 50mg a day before stopping....but i have lost 15 pounds already.
Have not ate in six days and may not eat for another week.

Congrats, there are a lot of 'formulas' on respectful websites offering diets that help out during these times.

On a happier note ...this is a pic of my new DJ!

My brother gave it to me....he bought it last week at Jared's but sent it to me if I would agree to use the pump over taking Oxycodone everday.
He was afraid I was going to O.D. i guess.
He watched me one time when we were at dinner take 90mg worth of Roxy's and not even act doped up. He was trying to take me to the E.R.
I told him 90mg was normal for me...not to worry I know what will OD me.

Like Ive said before I have some very serious medical problems with my spine DDD Spondylolisthesis etc. I ve lost 3 inches in Height over the past 6 years....Its not like I take Oxy by choice.

Keep up the good work. I have a large bottle of hydrocodone from a knee surgery. That stuff really makes me feel bad the next day after one pill.

Been there done that, and it's not pretty! The worst are the crawling feelings in the legs, as soon as those go away you can finally sleep in peace! We'll spare the members the 'other issues' that come with kicking them!

I really think pain management and spine docs are handing those out without a good enough warning, if people realized how horrible it is when you 'taper off' then I don't think they'd ever start.

Congrats mate!

Yes ....I started off on one 5mg lortab three times a day
6 years later 6x30mg roxy's a day and 4-5 10mg Norco...still in pain too
Its a no win cycle.
And its the getting up in the middle of the night and starting WD's ....horrible way to live from pill to the next pill

I'm glad to hear that you're off of them. My dad takes WAY too many for a torn shoulder. He refuses to have surgery and gets cortisone injections every quarter and pills everyday.

God Luck to you!

Good job so far. Glad to hear you're going another route. Good luck. It's obviously taking a lot of guts to do this. Don't get discouraged.
Oxycodone doesn't make me loopy but it gives me vivid dreams. A bit too intense I'd say. I certainly understand you wanting to get rid of it.
