Oh you thought it was over??..even though the sprezzatura would find it appalling to wear socks with drivers or loafers...I am of the tropical sort, anything below 65 degrees and I'm freezing...good day people

In case those don't know, socks are supposed to match the pants - at least for classical rules of attire.

My sister bought me a couple pairs of striped Paul Smith socks a few years back. I feel guilty not wearing them more often since I think they're $40 a pair!

That is true, but with rules of attire constantly being broken by today's standards, it is rare to see anyone matching socks to pants.

Oh my, definitely have fun with your sock wardrobe! It's a place for whimsy in an otherwise dull world. My DH, who is into dressing well, has a collection of nutty, pricey Italian and British-made socks in great colors and patterns.

Kudos to the sock and shoe brothers!

My Daughter promised me a new pair of slippers for x-mas - unfortunately that was back in June and I've had to complete running repairs to the current ones ever since.

yes, that's duck tape.

I dare not buy new before she has got the x-mas ones for me.

You, on TRF are the only people who know about their disgusting state of repair.

It is not duck tape, it is duct tape.
