Locusts.

Grady, guess I'd better turn on the news. That tornado is SW of us, and they move NE.

No matter where you are, it's always something.

San Antonio was a fun place to live, but I got tired of the crowds, traffic congestion, the constant heat, the fire ants and scorpions.

Anyway, looks like most of this storm is tracking north of OKC. Wouldn't mind a little rain, though. It's just overcast and windy now, with lighting flashes in the clouds.

I really like S.A. but never thought of it that big....I guess it is now.
We got the pesty fire ants in out house when we lived in Houston....wake up.... walk in the kitchen and see a line going to the cats food.
They are in AZ too but not as bad TX.
I got stung when I was a kid by a bark Scorpion and I would say the sting was like hitting your finger with a hammer as hard as you can and then hold a
lighter under the same finger....it hurt for 2/3 days.
A friend bought a house down in Maricopa and woke up at 3:00 am to find several on the walls in his bedroom and one in the bed.
They built his house on a nest....thats why I stay in town out of the burbs....never seen a one around my house in Tempe.............................yet

Lisa... We've had rain here in Tulsa all day and at my parents house up in Hominy too. My dad said that the storm was expected to hit them early this morning, but I don't know if it ever did.

Ya'll aways get more rain than we do.

I lived in Tulsa for a few years in the '90s while my husband was in school. We lived near 31st and Sheridan.

Are you from Hominy, then?
