Help me pick a hotel in Vegas.

My choice is now down to these :

Aria : love the modernish style(wife does not....) but I'm afraid it would be a bit too edgy and tucked away off Strip.

Wynn : I wanted to stay there for a long time and I can get a great rate, but everything else in this hotel is jokingly expensive IMHO...

Venetian/Palazzo : the suite thing is tempting as we enjoy to spend time in the room watching TV and reading, but I've heard their rooms are pretty worn, especially Venetian's ones.

Throw in Mandarin Oriental aswell but I'm afraid it would be way too stuffy,I dress extremely casual in Vegas,so casual that my Gshock is the most elegant thing I wear...

Safe bets I've stayed at before : Bellagio, good 'ol hotel that gets clogged with people 24hrs. Mandalay Bay,big and airy,we love it but damn out of the way. Mirage one of my favorite for spa and restaurants but I don't like those new rooms style.

I love Wynn as does my wife. I highly doubt you will find the Palazzo rooms worn though.

Stayed in a sky suite at the Aria about a year ago, it was pretty awesome. It is tucked away off the strip, but didn't find it too much of an inconvenience.

I like Aria. Offering stunning views of the city. The rooms have windows from floor to ceiling.

Palazzo...it is more fun than the Wynn, IMO. I like the atmosphere there better.

x2 The Encore has the 'suite' type rooms. It's definitely the spot we go to in Vegas now.

Love the Encore. Less of a cattle call. Plus no baby strollers.

Of the ones you mentioned, I like the Wynn. I've stayed in most but Mirage is still my favorite.

I have stayed at all of these listed and the Wynn would be the correct choice. ask for a view of the waterfall from your room. also, in reference to the in house prices. The big mall is right across the street. Have fun, Say hello to my money when you are there. :)

How about cosmopolitan. It's the newest hotel there. The room is also fantastic with balcony.

I would certainly recommend the Wynn Encore. 14 of us stayed there for a week in June and it was outstanding.

As everyone else, Wynn. My wife loves it, we have also stayed at many of the other hotels mentioned and they are nice as well, but the Wynn has been our spot last couple years.
