Trip to the AD yesterday
So I walk into my local AD yesterday, a stunning, well dressed, late 20s brunette walks up to me "can I help you?"
"Yeah I need to get my watch pressure tested" now she's giving me a confused look.... so I follow up with "is the watchmaker in?" "yeah I'll give him a call" now she's on the phone with him "what kind of watch is it?" "submariner" she relays that to him then asks me "it's a rolex right?" another minute on the phone with the watchmaker and she hangs up and says "he'll be right out, do you want something to drink while you wait" motioning to the mini fridge full of import beer (I probably should have partaken but as I was in there to get a free inspection I thought not) Then she asks me "when was the last time it was serviced?" "3 years ago" "Oh, why do you want it tested" "because I'm going to diving next week and want to be sure, plus you're supposed to have them tested every few years, I can't be the first guy to walk in here asking for a pressure test am I?" She replies "I don't think anyone actually uses these for what their intended they just buy them because of the rolex name, they probably don't even get them wet" Then the watchmaker comes out from the back and takes my watch in for the test and to pass the time my future ex wife and I talk watches and she lets me try on whatever I want. Unfortunately they didn’t have the new explorer 2 but I did try on a deep sea which was a huge mistake because now that is all I can think about. She did mention that the sub no date is being discontinued, that can’t be true is it?? All in all it was a good trip but it started out a little weird, I'm thinking it was her first week on the job, she's probably been too busy with her Victoria's secret modeling, just thought I’d share. |

I'm surprised when you said "Submariner" she said "It's a Rolex right?". |

Funny how he forgot to mention if his watch passed the test?

I'm always left remembering that old saying of "No matter how hot she is, there is someone - somewhere - who is sick of her shit"...

^^^ Agreed. That's why it's so funny - because it is so true...
