How about that, a Tudor sub makes over six grand! (click on link) the second time for one of these in almost as many weeks, is the bubble going to burst or are they going to hold their own at this now?, I think they will hold, good original early sixty's ones are just so scarce.

Wow. My father in law gave me one recently. He purchased it while he was in the Marines in the early 60's. I haven't thought about selling it but I think he would give me the thumbs up, if I could get that kind of money.

If you can get that kind of money you may want to keep it to yourself. He may want it back.

Good point. Actually, he'd like me to keep it to give to my son. Since I'm one of twelve kids, not many heirlooms made their way to me. So, I'll, in all probability, keep it and give it to him when he's old enough to appreciate it. He'll be the fourth generation to have the watch because my father in law had given it to his dad.

That must be quite the collectible watch.

I have actually heard that Tudors that have the "rose logo" on the dial before the "shield logo" currently used today are quite collectible and highly desired timepieces.

Nice Tudor Sub! I should have bought the one I saw in a vintage watch shop a couple of years ago. It was around US 1500!
