The "Yea, I know it's just a watch, but I wear THIS one because..." thread

I wear the ones I wear because they are my class rings (TAG for undergrad, Omega for law school) and they are the only pieces of jewelry I wear....

Yeah, I know it's just a watch, but I wear this one because it's got over a hundred pieces of finely machined parts that are put together in such a way that it keeps damn near perfect time mechanically with no help from electronics. kind of amazing when you really think about it....

I know it's just a watch, but I researched which one I wanted and saved years to buy it. I looked around until I found one like new with a single previous owner at a decent price. All of that effort makes it special to me.

Besides, I still like trash disco and it dates to that era.

Yea, I know it's just a watch, but I wear THIS one because as Norman Smiley from Saturday Night Live said, "It's good enough, it's smart enough and dog gone it, people like it."

Isn't Norman Smiley the kid from the video store in The Big Hit w/ Mark Wahlberg?
