Itching to get a Milgauss GV or Zenith movement SS Daytona
Hi everyone, I went to an AD last week and they have 2 Milguass GV in stock. I had been thinking about getting a Milgauss GV for a while. Yersterday, I saw a used Zenith movement Daytona SS with white dial in another AD.
I already has a 116520 in white dial. Any opinion would be helpful. Should I get a random serial number Mailgauss or another Daytona. Last edited by RX0-Unicorn; 11 March 2012 at 04:25 PM.. Reason: add infomtion |

You know you will be buying the no nonsense Zenith movement with all original components. And since it is preowned you can negotiate a little. And usually they give you at least a year warranty. |

Personally I would go for something a bit more different and I would go for the Milgauss. I think it just depends on how badly you want the Zenith Daytona.

Good luck with your decision. I would rather have the 4030 daytona.

Those are so different, I think its interesting you could be split between those two... That said, I am not normally a GV fan, but given the choice I would choose the GV...

I would choose GV since you already have a Daytona, even though the movement is not Zenith who else but you will know? Prior to spending time on TRF I wouldn't have known the difference, it was just a Daytona. Plus the GV is just so cool

Seems very popular to decide over a Daytona v GV on here of late, anyway you already have a Daytona so differentiate what you have and go GV

Both are nice.
I have had and sold both. The Zenith is a better long term buy value wise I think The GV is a great watch! I love the green crystal but both lacking date kinda killed them for me. I have a nice vintage 5513 for when I don't want a date.

Tough call. I would probably go with the Daytona, as there are lots of GVs.

I think I will go with the GV. The used Daytona have no box and no paper, asking 12k for it. The GV really gets attention with the green rim.

Daytona - if it's a good one they're getting harder to find. You see Milgauss GVs everywhere now and will be readily available for years.

I'd go for the GV for something a little different as you already have a Daytona. Wearing the Zenith and your current Daytona would feel the same. When I rotate my watches, I like the change in style and variety.

Get the Mil GV and flip your current Daytona for that Daytona. There you go, best of both world.

Hey everyone, thanks for the input.
i have to decide to get the GV first. Than, I will get the 16520 later. I want a watch that i can wear everyday and not worry too much. The 116520 is sitting inside the box or winder, didn't get to see the world outside at all. I will crying for weeks if i get any scratch or dent on it. |

Also, the Zennith movement Daytona does not come with box or paper. The AD is asking for $14000, plus tax, no discount. i just think the price is too much. That is more than what i paid for my 116520 when it was new last year.
