Remove 2 permanent links from bracelet?
Hi everyone, I have a question about a rather annoying problem. I just picked up a 5513 Submariner and it came with a 93150 bracelet. Now I have a rather small wrist, about 5.75 inches, maybe a bit more on a good day. I know that some people have a permanent link taken out of the 6 o'clock side of their bracelets so that it will fit better on small wrists. In my case however, even if I remove one permanent link, I still have to put the clasp microadjustment all the way on the last hole, leaving the length of the clasp loose on the 12 o'clock side and free to snag on anything and everything. My question is, in such a situation, would it be a good idea to have not just one but two permanent links removed, one from the 6 o'clock side and one from the 12 o'clock side so that I may be able to put the clasp microadjustment farther back closer to the end of the clasp? Has anyone done anything similar or heard of such a thing? Thanks!

Personally I'd buy one of those un-rolex branded aftermarket oyster bracelets for $50-70, modify that, attach the factory Rolex 93150 clasp to it, and wear it like that, so if you ever sell it or pass it on, you haven't butchered a bracelet that costs nearly $1k to replace.
The properly made aftermarket oysters fit up perfectly to the OEM clasp and are every bit as good as the original part.

I thought that removing permanent links do not devalue a bracelet as one can just add another screw link when selling it?

Have a close look at the 93150 on your 5513, the fixed links are tapered, as in they get larger the further you go up, the screw in links are straight. If you take a fixed link out, then fit a screw in link in its place you'll get a jagged notch where the link above doesn't line up with the link below.

Hmm ok. I was under the impression that this is common practice for 93150 bracelets, as seen here: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=131834 and here: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=223809. Are the examples above somehow different bracelets or something?
