Rolex & Golf. The Rolex 'Green-Dweller'.

All the greatest golfers this world has ever seen, all sport Rolexes.

Jack Nicklaus (18 Majors)
Annika Sorenstam (10)
Gary Player (9)
Arnold Palmer (7)
Tom Watson (8)
Phil Mickelson (4 so far)

And now Tiger Woods, with nothing short of 14 Majors so far, the latest re-addition to the Rolex Club. Welcome back Tiger, to the Rolex family. We missed you.

Between all these greats, that's a total of 70 Majors. That's just nothing short of, ASTONISHING.

The best of the best, only deserve the finest timepiece. And that is, Rolex.

Rolex and Golf: a seamlessly perfect match.

So here's a thought:

Rolex should make a watch for Golf, and call it the 'Green-Dweller'. For golfers. For the game of golf. A tribute to this iconic game of skill, strategy, patience, endurance, toughness, confidence, perfection and excellence. To its legend, history and heritage. To its present, and its future. To all who love the game.

Much like how Rolex honoured the legendary Daytona 24-Hour Motor Race, with its now-iconic Daytona.

This would make a perfect double entendre: Green = Golf putting surface = Rolex corporate colour.

Needless to say, one of these Green-Dweller models should come with a green dial, and/or bezel or crystal (ala Milgauss).

It'd be the perfect watch to go with the U.S. Masters Green Jacket.

But yes great idea though! Maybe it could have a complication that helps count your score, much like the Glashutte Original Panomatic Counter XL:

Well, at least the corporate color would suit the model well.

How about a white dimpled dial with a couple of pushers to track of your score (strokes under / over par)?

The watch would have to be very shock proof though, as the wrist does sustain a bit of shock when striking the ball...

A specialized shock absorption inner casing would make a unique feature of this watch!

(Just like the Milgauss with its Faraday cage that can withstand 1,000 gauss of magnetic flux density).
