The " I am traveling and want to take only one watch" conundrum..
I'm heading back to the Americas Cup Hall of Fame instillation dinner as I seem to do annually as of late and I would like to take just one watch that will be on my wrist at all times.... I don't like having extra watches to worry about when traveling ....
I will be out on the water Friday and Saturday watching the Americas Cup World Series inside Narragansett Bay, the usual drinking at the NYYC's Harbor Court Station, the Candy Store/Sky Bar, the Black Pearl etc.... Friday night is the black tie installation dinner. Should I take one watch for the entire weekend and if so which one (see balow) is most appropriate ? Should I take a sport watch and a separate dress watch (18k omega constellation pie pan/see photo) to wear with the dinner jacket? SS Rolex submariner 16610 SS Rolex GMT 16750 (faded Pepsi or black bezel) TT GMT 16753 on an oyster bracelet TT GMT 1675 on a jubilee bracelet 18k YG day date president For those who are not familiar, here is the 18k Omega Comstellation Pie PAn

I'd go with the two-tone GMT on Oyster or the Day-Date but that's just me! All of those would make great choices.

Take the patina GMT Pepsi for regular wear, and the Omega for dressup. Both are conversation pieces and the chances of being duplicated are nil.
Have a great trip and time! J. Alan |

I don't rescind my earlier recommendation, but looking at your stock, you really can't go wrong. There's not one watch pictured that wouldn't go well with jeans, or speedos at the beach, or a suit, or a tux.

The Sub would cover all occasions based on the choices given, water event, drinking and black tie event. Something James Bond would wear to all event.
Have Fun. |

I don't know about "appropriate" as I'm usually the last person people come to for stylistic advice, but I'd choose the 16610 without a doubt.
