Hmm -- My Bracelet Has Polished Sides...

Y'all are probably gonna think that I'm stupid as hell, but I'll go ahead and adimit that you're probably correct.

The other day, I was at work and my watch slicker than eel shit due to all the oil on the thing, so I took to wipin' it with my t-shirt. Upon further inspection to clear the smudges, I said to myself, "Well I'll be damned -- more reflective stuff!"

To make something clear, I'm not anal about my watch/s. While it sucks to mar it, I'm not gonna fret if it happens. However, I do like my watch to look nice if I can help it. Ladies don't like the oily face; that's why they wear make-up. I don't like an oily watch; that's why I use a t-shirt.

So, I just thought to myself -- great, something else to have to keep clean. I need an LV. I think that'll solve some of my problems.

I know what you mean!

That is one of the nice features about the SS Sub Date:

That is has MATTE side of the bracelet.

I have never really understood why Rolex chose to make the sides of the bracelet of the SD polished when you consider that the SD is meant to be worn under even more extreme conditions than the Sub Date.

But I guess Rolex wanted to add a bit more exclusive looks to it.

I am anal, and I will wipe mine on most anything to get rid of the smudges.

Marines are different!!!

In Vietnam a Marine unit came in to our area. There was a complete concrete hardstand available to them, but they chose to pitch their tents in the mud. You gotta love it.
