I noticed a few with Beveled edges that don't have the massive date window magnification like others. Are these aftermarket? Overpolished? Short Run by manufacturer?

I too would like to hear from the "pro's" on the difference between the beveled edges and the top hat (straight) edges.
Why? Are there certain year watches that had these? Seems i have seen watches from the same year with both?
What, if either are considered original?
