First time buyer/ 177200 gift Advice
Hi All,
I've been looking to get my wife a Rolex (her first) and am looking for a clean, classic design that she can keep and wear for many years. Have a potential deal lined up for a new 177200 that's about 10% off retail. It will be shipped, so state sales taxes won't apply, so all told about 20% off full retail. Is this is good deal? If not, can anyone chime in with suggestions? I would go pre-owned, but I would want to find something either pristine and/or distinctive since it's a gift situation Thanks in advance Last edited by fhwatch; 16 August 2012 at 12:57 PM.. I would say 20% off is pretty good. You can also check out the sales corner for current and past transactions - that will give you an indication of the secondary market prices as a comparison.

Great reference and decent price. I think she would be very pleased.

I am in the market for the same watch for my wife, very niece model indeed.
My wife already has a midsize DJ with white dial and Roman numerals, but I would like to get her the black dial with Arabic 3 6 9 numerals. |

I think the discount is pretty good and good choice on the watch. I purchased a 176200 4 weeks ago, I was lucky as the AD was clearing out a few watches at 40% off and the 176200 was one of them. All in all, with tax, I paid just under $3k for a brand new Rolex.
