Has this ever happened to anyone?

I placed my Milgauss GV on the dresser before going to bed as I always do. The next morning I pick up the watch and a pin from the bracelet has fallen out. Now I have night sweats thinking that this could happen while I'm out and I will lose my GV forever. My watch was less than a month old when this happend.

Wow! Did you buy the watch NIB from an AD, or from a 3rd party?

Brand name for thread locking compound, a MUST for watch band screws.

Just google it; lots of info on the various grades and how to use it correctly.

Use it on ALL the screws in your bracelet, not just the one that came loose.

Shame on whoever last sized your watch for not doing it correctly!

Don't know what you mean was it clasp pin or a bracelet screw if it was a screw has the bracelet been resized recently. Now bracelet screws should be checked periodically and if needed just retightened or retightened with a very very tiny amount of loctite blue colour.

I'm not exactly sure which size the Milguass requires

The DJ/DD's require a 1.4mm and the sport models require 1.6mm.

Milgauss needs a 1.6mm, the bracelet is the same size as the other sports models (GMT, Sub).

My GMT ll C screws loosen up even with locktite ( maybe I am not using enough).

I almost lost my watch when the screw popped out.

I check and tighten (apply force) to each screw weekly now. I would hate to be out $7200 due to a 50˘ screw falling out.

You must be absolutely certain the screw threads are clean on both the screw head AND link before reapplying loctite...just adding more loctite to the thread and retightening doesn't work.

More important is that all threads are clean and grease-free before using it.

(And those screws cost a bit more than 50˘...)

INSURANCE! Get your watch covered. Make sure that in case of loss, theft, damage etc you are protected. Minimal cost for peace of mind.

Don't over-tighten but do get yourself the Loctite as has been mentioned. 222 or 221. Same strength but slightly different consistency I believe. Your bracelet screws came from the factory with Loctite applied, and any competent AD should also use it after sizing.
A dab in the screw hole with a toothpick!

good info- I recently had a loose screw that resulted in a jammed GlideLock clasp. I'll be sure to buy Loctite

Question:
Is Loctite like superglue? i.e. once applied, you can't undo the bracelet pin?

No, it's more like the teflon tape applied onto a screw/nut.
Loctite prevents the screw from getting loose, that's all.
