Ever flip the same watch over and over?

Ok so I'm on the verge of buying my 6th Rolex 14060m.i truly love this watch and it is my favorite of all watches but I end up selling it every time I have one.i have decided that this one I'm about to buy will be the last 14060m I purchase,it's a keeper cause I can't stand selling it and wanting it a week later.anyone ever done this or am I just crazy?

I hope you're not losing money every time you flip. Yikes!

I'm with you. I've owned the Sub C LV twice and am thinking about buying it again. As I've said before it's a sickness.

It depends on the length of time that you've owned the same model! For example, if you flip it every other year, I'd say that's normal and having sellers remorse or just missing that particular model. Or since one of your locations is Vegas, are you a heavy gambler and sometimes end up selling your watch then hoping to replace it once it's gone ( no offense since I gamble too )?

I am a heavy gambler no offense taken.ive never sold a watch at a casino but I have bought a Rolex two tone sub off a guy needing money to play, I'm always on the lookout for that at casinos.the longest I've had the 14060 was maybe 6 months.i guess I'm just a very serious serial flipper.

Isn't like that with many things? I've done the Canon to Nikon to Minolta to Canon to Sony shuffle. I might have missed a sequence somewhere. Each time I buy and sell the same big $ lenses. I'm in between systems now and I'm trying to chose between Canon and Nikon again.

I traded a firearm for a blue 16613, then wished I'd gone black... about a year later I traded the watch back for the firearm (the guy missed it) and was promptly laid off and my wife filed for divorce (coincidence? I think not!).

I am now a position to get a black 16613, this time from a member here on the forum and the deal will be done next week.

Now to find my future ex-wife...

Three is my limit, never more than three times.

6 means something is wrong.

I'm the sort that ums and ahs about any expensive purchase (and yes, Rolex is expensive for me) and then procrastinates some more to the point where my wife gets fed up, rolls her eyes and nudges me to pull the trigger.

As such, all the watches I've ever owned I have coveted to some degree and I would never willingly flip them in the first place.

The only situation I could see myself buying back the same model watch is if I was forced to sell it initially because of absolute dire financial hardship.

Moonwatch

I bought and flipped this beauty- it was a 1974 Omega Speedmaster professional 'first man on the moon' watch, then I bought and flipped an 1984, lastly I bought and flipped a 1969 version--- all in the same month...
